Happy New Year

This is the time when we look back at the past years accomplishments and failures, set new goals and strive for a better happier new year. I am no different, my hope is I make a difference, lend in some way that what I create will lighten the heart, touch the soul, and bring a smile to someone's face.
So my wish for you is a Happier Better

Tubac Center of the Arts Opening Night

Opening ceremonies was fun,
I know the picture is a little fuzzy but it was dark.
I had a chance to meet with the other artists, mingle and browse the other art. Before the night was done Mike had already sold one of his pieces, very cool for him.
They had placed me around the gallery in pretty good spots not too much handling which is good for the fairy's.

The Snowmen were placed on the mantel everyone saw them when they came in the main entrance, it seemed everyone was making comments about them. I was so excited I was having such a good time.
I saw several other artists making comments and referencing my Raven painting, Mike made the frame around my Roadrunner watercolor.
The Little Purses had a nice place right next to the fire place.

In the next room of the Gallery on a shelf were my Christmas Mice and the little cats I made, below them are the Dixie Dolls (Pocket Dolls) and if you look just to the right there are my Roosters.

The ribbon around his neck I noticed was on backwards, someone must have moved it.

This is the Director Bonnie Jaus.

Mike's Dad Larry and his wife Carol, it was nice of them to come and show their support.

Here is the table where they put Mikes work, he sold a barrette with the turquoise before we arrived.
All in all we had a good evening.

Paintings for my Sisters

I painted and gave these to my sisters for our early Christmas.
This is Jackie

here we are taking about the painting, she was 7, I was 4, and Kelly was 5.

This is Kelly
She still looks like her little self.

She was 4, I was 3 and Jackie was 5.

I did this one in the summer of Kelly's little Grandchild.
