Christmas Ornaments

I've been busy working on Christmas ornaments paper is my passion so a lot of my work is made of you guessed, it paper.

 Paper Woven Stars, Vintage Santa, Snow-Heads, fold up stars, Blue birds

and Hot Air Balloons with lots of glitter.

B.C. Santa

This painting will be part of a number of other work I will take to the gallery next month.
The painting is a water color and  gouache on gypsum board sealed in a clear base polymer, it measures 18x10 inches this is the first in a series of paintings I have been doing.

Gentle Gaze

Gentle Gaze is the title of this watercolor on gypsum board, I like the way his eye is watching.

He is a Common Raven the painting is about 10x13 inches. 

I entered this into the Tubac's Center of the Arts 43rd Annual Members Juried art competition I hope it will be picked for the show. They will be sending out notifications the week of the 24th this month, Wish me luck..

Tubac Members Open Gayla event

Tubac had it's opening ceremonies on the 7th and Mike and I were there. We viewed all the art and saw the awards, we talked to the shops managers and the judge of the show and congratulated the winner. I had a wonderful time, I felt as though I were quite at home talking with the other artist.

Mission Keeper

Mission Keepers is 12x12 Gallery stretched canvas which means that the staples are only in the back and cannot be seen once the canvas is on the wall.  

The Painting is in acrylic and features Ravens overhead and on top of the old Spanish style Mission, safe guarding the old church.

Big Snowmen

Big Snowman, well bigger, These guys measure 10 to 12 inches tall and are fairly hefty weighing in at 3 to 5 pounds they would make good door stops or a nice center piece on a table. So without further ado let me introduce to you my three snowmen.

This is the second painting in the B.C. Santa series, I call this painting "Jack" This is painted in watercolor on gypsum board then sealed measures about 16x9 inches.

Snowmen Ornaments

 All my project's are coming together, these cute little snowmen head ornaments were fun to make and their whimsey little faces are so cute. Some have glitter others have snow and ice on their heads and noses. They will be displayed hanging from this dried up cactus branch.

Skeleton Bride and Groom

Getting ready for a wedding. I finished the Bride's and their Groom's. They are 8 to 10 inches tall made of paper clay hand painted and signed, they took me two solid weeks to complete. You can see these at the Tubac Center of the Art's in September along with some of my other work so keep an eye out for me. I will be posting more photos of my work when it's finished.

The Mission

 Mike's Birthday Gift this year. This is what he got, what he wanted was a Road Runner, so I guess he will be getting that for Christmas.

This is an acrylic painting done in the style of Don Tiller. I enjoyed this painting it was fun and the nice thing about the medium is if you don't like something it can easily be changed.
