Wild Eyes Have Ears
Wild eyes have ears is a 1930's-40's Bent wood Hi-chair. I painted this chair to look like a Saguaro cactus tree. Like many of the cactus in my area this one has a hole, from other birds looking for bugs to eat, the cactus will heal itself leaving a pocket like hole where small owls like my pigmy owl can start a family. I placed a Lizard on the foot brace on the front part of the chair it is in the likeness of a Desert Spiny Lizard. The flowers and other 3D elements are made of paper clay I make here at my home in Southern Arizona and where I get much of my inspiration. The paint is acrylic, I then sealed it with a spray on clear gloss finish to help protect it. The owls beak protrudes about one half inch off the back but I think it could still be fully functional as a Hi-chair.

Art Chair GILIA NIGHTS
I am in the process of making six art chairs for this years fall/winter season in Tubac Arizona, for the Tubac Center of the Arts Holiday Artisan market. This is the first one completed I call it Gila Nights it features a pair of pigmy owls living in a cactus tree "saguaro" a lounge lizard aka Desert Spiny Lizard with a hilly scene dotted with cactus trees and ocotillo's. The seat has a Gila monster and stylized flowers and a prickly pear plant in the top corner. I painted this using acrylic paints and sealed it with a gloss lacquer finish.

Here Comes Santa Clause, Here Comes Santa Clause.
I know it's a little early for Christmas but I finished what I would call my best work in this medium to date and wanted to show them off.
I played around with layers of color on their faces I like the depth it adds almost a realism that bring them to life. I payed attention to detail and added my own bit of zing to them, hope you like them as much as I do.

Little kid Sweaters
I have some new designs for the little people in our lives.
This sweater set is purple and orange with a flower accent and a bee buzzing the flowers it is about a size 2T I used the broom stick lace stitch for the main body of the sweater and the hat.
I used a chunky yarn for this sweater and hat with recycled buttons in a tree pattern, this and the patch work pockets in this creamy soft color pull the sweater together the hat is accented with a bow it is a about a size 5.
Hats
Yeah I know, I fell off the face of the world for a while but I an back.
I finished a few more hats the fun ones and have a few more cool ideas in the works but here is what I have for now, let me know what you think.

Baby sweaters
I am just finishing up on some baby sweaters, I plan on making a few more. I work on them in the evening while watching a movie with my sweetie, I have four with matching hats. The character hats I made last year were a big hit I sold all I had, so I will be doing more of them as well.
